Since my blog was down for a good week we missed some important events such as a BBQ I attended for the 4th of July where I made a stellar beyond 5 carrot cocktail if I do say so myself
This lovely recipe came from Bethenny Frankel’s book “Naturally Thin.” I really enjoy her as a person I love how open and honest she is. I read this book when I was still going through my crazy must workout all the time and eat minimally stage. This book helped me to put things into perspective. It opened my eyes to see that you don’t have to deprive yourself of the things that you love or those guilty pleasures you just have to be smart and pick and chose you can’t indulge in everything all in one day and you don’t need to. If you allow yourself to give in to a craving your less likely to binge, depriving yourself is where you will falter.
I really suggest this book to anyone, it is full of sound advice and healthy recipes as well. If you recall I made a version of her Banana Oatmeal Cookies and Ranch dressing before. And now for the perfect summer cocktail which I have made a few times now and is always a hit!
White Sangria (Bethenny Frankel recipe)
This is the doubled version because I had a lot of thirsty guests!
6 bottles of proseco
1 cup green grapes halved
5 peaches sliced
5 plums sliced
1 can fresca
1 can club soda
I would suggest tasting as you pour the sodas I think I may have ended up using 1 1/2 cans of club soda but really it depends on how you want it to taste!
