Marvelous Monday

by forloveofcarrots on February 4, 2013

Good morning friends! Watch the super bowl last night?

I did not, I did catch the half time show and thought it was pretty bad. Then went to facebook and saw people say they loved it, I was like um did we watch the same show? To each their own I supposed.

To be honest, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I thought week 5 of Best Body Bootcamp would cure my grumpiness. But here I am still a tad grumpy. Hoping this funk leaves me soon. And because I woke up in a funk, what better way to try to turn that mood around by celebrating Marvelous Monday!?

Brady came home on Friday. I missed that little guy. He is dealing with his cone head but I can’t stop laughing at him when he walks into everything.

I made it to yoga yesterday! I needed it so badly, it was amazing.

While on the subject of yoga, I nailed bird of paradise pose! Being that I am not very flexible, this is a huge deal to me. Up next Crow pose!

I have put 16.5 miles on my new mizuno’s already. I ran 6 miles on Saturday, it was a cold run but I powered through!

We watched 2 movies over the weekend, For a Good Time Call which was funny. Beasts of the Southern Wild which was good, sad but good. The little girl is up for an Oscar.

How was your weekend?

What did you think of the superbowl halftime show?

What movies have you seen lately?

Oh I am sorry you’re in a funk!! I experience the same lately and I know it is because of the weather, it is cold and grey and rainy since weeks and I definitely have a lack of light. Yay for the paradise bird’s pose!! I am not flexible either and know how these Yoga successes feel like! Oh my God, poor Brady. I am mean, I had to laugh too when I saw the pic :-)
I went to watch Django Unchained on the weekend and loved it!!

I think the weather definitely has something to do with it! Haha I know poor Brady but you just have to laugh at how miserable he looks. I am curious if I would like Django Unchained, I don’t deal with blood and gore well!

I was not impressed by the half time show either. Although I don’t really care for Beyonce.
It must be the weather because I have a case of the grumpies as well! No fun. I’m planning on getting to bed super early tonight to cure it!

Thats probably why I didn’t really like it either, her songs may be catchy but they are just stupid, If I were a boy!? I mean come on now! Yess I cannot wait for bed time, I am thinking like 8pm no joke lol!

I hate being in a funk. Hopefully you have some marvelous things going on today so you can snap right out of it. And I’m with you on the superbowl. I actually didn’t think it was that great. She pretty much just danced around on stage and there were very few actual singing moments except when she sang Halo. Disappointed, Beyonce. Very disappointed.

I hope so too!! He has so much energy and we have to keep yelling at him to stop running! I hope us yelling at him for jumping up will teach him not to jump up though!

Sorry you are in a funky funk. I thought the half time show was okay…not great…not terrible. I didn’t really know what to make of it honestly but I’m not obessed with it like a lot of people were.

I’m interested in Beasts of Southern Wild b/c of all the critical acclaim! I haven’t heard of the other movie.
I hope you get out of your funk soon! I was obsessed with the halftime performance, haha. I just love Beyonce and how she is in such command and control of her performances. And who doesn’t love a Destiny’s Child throwback?! I was hoping JayZ would pop on stage with Blue Ivy :P
Sometimes we just need to get through a funky day and have it be the next day (and one day closer to Friday) so we can just let time heal our funks. Still, MIMM is a great way to help it along!

You should def watch it (its at redbox) it’s sad but very well done! I was hoping that jay z was going to come on stage. I am a huge jay z fan so I probably would have loved the performance if he showed up! The real question is, is it feb 16th yet!?

I heard that for the Beasts of the Southern Wild movie, the cast was a random assortment of villagers or something like that (not professionals). It’s cool she’s up for an oscar though :) I did not watch anypart of the Superbowl but caught the highlights the next morning on ESPN ;)

Aweee… Brady and his little cone head is adorable. I remember when Roxy had to wear one, I could not stop laughing. I felt horrible doing it but it was too funny not too. Everytime she would try to walk up our stairs she would forget she had the cone on & just bounce right off them.

it so hard not to laugh! He just doesn’t get it, after he walks into the wall he looks at like where did you come from?
