Bear with me, I am feeling out of it. ALL day I went about my day as if it was Thursday, imagine my disappointment when I discovered it was in fact Wednesday.
Never mind the fact that multiple times yesterday I had to remind myself its only Wednesday. Here I am Thursday morning waking up bright eyed and bushy tailed with the wohoo is Friday theme song running through my head only to discover it’s Thursday…
I don’t know whats wrong with me, I need a nap, or an IV of coffee.
I promise I came with a purpose today, but first one more thing. I just dropped Brady off at the Vet for his neutering. I was expecting a little scene because Brady can have some mommy issues, but he walked away with the vet tech and didn’t look back. He is staying over at the vet which makes me nervous for him, or for myself I’m just not sure anymore.
Anyways, lets talk YOGA please. I need it more in my life. I am not very flexible, Best Body Bootcamp is really kicking me in the rear this week, in the best way possible of course. But today I hopped on the treadmill in the hopes to cover 6 miles, I made it to 3! My legs felt like led! Mind you if I was better at stretching maybe this wouldn’t be an issue. But I’m not, so that’s why I need yoga.
My one day a week thing isn’t really working for me 9 time out of 10 I bail on the class. It’s at an awkward time, or the weather is nice out and I would rather take Brady for a run or walk, or just something better comes up at that time.
There aren’t many other yoga classes offered at my gym throughout the week. There is a great hot yoga studio in my area but unless they have another living social or goupon deal I don’t plan on dropping the money to go, it’s not that cheap.
So I need you help!! Tell me the best yoga or Pilates DVD you have ever used!
*award for longest post just to ask one question goes to me*
Happy Friday Thursday!

Oh! This I can absolutely help with. Rodney Yee (Yi?) I think his name is. Amazing. And there are 4 sections, so the first part is like stretching and prepping you and then it gets progressively harder. Its the one my mom does every morning for years. He’s the only man that can get me to do some physical activity!
haha I will have to look into them. We are doing more yoga together once you come home!
I absolutely can relate on the classes. I now stopped renewing my Yoga membership since I always skip it! I love doing Yoga at home though. I absolutely love Baron Baptiste. It is hard, but so so good. http://www.baronbaptiste.com/store/power-packed-dvd-baptiste-live-with-baron-baptiste/
For a softer Yoga I like the iPhone ‘Power Yoga’ App with Trisha Mharaj Singh. This is perfect for anywhere and you can follow for 5 minutes, 10, or longer.

ooh I love apps!! Thank you for bringing that to my attention, definitely downloading it!
Kaitlin, I have a Tara Stiles DVD called Daily Yoga that’s almost an hour long and it’s definitely not beginner yoga, but it’s doable. I like it for an at-home one. I love yoga, but I agree with you, it’s sooo expensive!

I have heard great things about Tara Stiles so I definitely want to try her out!
I seriously feel eons better after going to yoga regularly 2-3 x’s a week for the past month. I don’t know what I’m going to do when my month pass is up! I don’t know if I can suck it up and pay the $160 for a month pass

that is steep for a monthly pass. I need more yoga but the cost is what holds me back, hoping to find some good dvds to fix that though!
I’ve been hit with the yoga bug the past 3 weeks. I’ve been practicing like crazy!

yayy! love when the yoga bug strikes!
The Jillian Michaels yoga slim down is great if you want to get a little cardio in there as well!

I have yoga meltdown, the problem is Jillian’s voice drives me crazy!
I’ve actually been wanting to try yoga and I still haven’t…LOL, I think I’m the best with creating every excuse under the sun about it.

haha that is usually how I am, then I started going to my once a week class and loved it! I was like I have been missing out but now its not always convenient and I am all about convenience!
I need to work on stretching more too, the bbbc has kind of forced me to do that because man have I been sore as ever. I wish I could afford yoga, or had time for it. double fail

yeah I hear ya, money is always an issue and so is time! I am the worlds worst stretcher but I have been trying to make a better effort to do it.
I hate stretching which is why I try to do yoga once a week or so, but it’s SO Expensive!! When they have community classes I tend to take advantage of those, but my legs would feel infinitely better if I actually stretched.

haha I know, whenever I stretch after a run I am always like I should do this more often!
People either love or hate this yoga DVD, but I’m a fan – Bethenny’s Skinnygirl Yoga workout. The reason I like it is because it’s split into 15 minute increments, so you can do as little or as much of it as you want. Problem is, you go through it a few times and it gets boring (but I’m sure that’s kind of an issue with any yoga DVD you get). Good luck! Hope you find one you like

You aren’t the only one who has raved about Bethenny’s yoga video! I have heard its great and I love her so I will most likely like it!
I love Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown and I saw on Janae’s blog Bob Harpers is a good workout, too. Also, I love Blogilates and it’s really convenient! Yoga classes are SO expensive. I always rely on Groupon for haircuts/classes because it’s the only way I can get close to affording it!

Oh yes I have Yoga Meltdown but I cannot stand Jillian’s voice so I rarely us it! I did see that on Janae’s blog and was intrigued maybe I will have to see if Target has it! Thank god for groupon and living social right!?
I love the first 45 minutes of P90X Yoga!!! I just do that portion, it is plenty and a powerful routine. Bring a USB drive on 2/16
you can copy it onto there!
I also really enjoy the Tara Stiles Power Flows on the DVDs I got to review through Fitfluential.
And I spotted a yoga DVD in this article just now, though I never have tried it! http://www.glamour.com/health-fitness/blogs/vitamin-g/2013/01/fitness-dvds-to-get-you-in-sha.html

Ooh yes I have heard the p90x yoga is a good one! Remind me to bring the USB! Everyone loves the Tara stiles! I should have jumped on it when fitfluential offered it but I didn’t think I would use it then! Now I’m kicking myself!
