I am really trying hard not to be a downer but I am annoyed to say the least. I had my follow up appointment with the Doctor yesterday regarding my stitches. Good news the ones on my back came out, bad news the one on my calf wasn’t ready to come out and I have to wait another week to get them removed!
Which means, I still can’t run, ellipticize, walk or anything.
I can’t run the Color me Rad 5k that is this Saturday (if anyone in CT wants to take my spot let me know).
I was FINALLY able to get my boyfriend to run a race and this was the one and now we can’t even do it together.
It is all major bummer! At first when I knew I had to take a week off from working out I was annoyed but then decided I should welcome the week of extra sleep and lots of rest, my body probably needed it, now it is just plain annoying.
In the mean time I am hoping to strength train my upper body as much as possible.
Sorry you had to read all that, I just needed to vent.
In other news I made an Asian cole slaw for my mom’s birthday dinner the other night that got rave reviews.
My brother may have called it “slawesome” and “slawtastic” several times
The recipe can be found here
Tell me something funny or good that is going on in your life, I need some optimism

I cant believe you used the word “slaw” I remember several summer trips to Delaware where w were not allowed to use that word.
I am sorry, that is never the news you want to hear. But I do love love broccoli slaw! Hang in there, the worst is over.
