Avoiding exercise burn out

by forloveofcarrots on March 27, 2012

Happy Happy Tuesday, I wish I felt as chipper as that may sound, I am tired today, I guess I am still trying to catch up on sleep from the weekend!

My workout this morning was one of the best workouts I have had in a while

Since the temperatures have dropped again my outside run needed to be brought back inside, since I loathe the treadmill I made a compromise with myself. If I completed 4 miles on the treadmill I could do another machine or a plyo circuit workout. I opted for a plyo circuit workout that I had pinned on pinterest a while ago and decided to finally print it out and give it a go.

The circuit was originally from bessbefit and I followed it to a T.

It.was.awesome. The circuit took about 25 minutes to complete and the time flew by! I can’t wait to try a new one on Thursday!

As I was doing the circuit I couldn’t help but think this is how you avoid exercise burn out, by mixing up your routine so that you never get bored! There is a woman at the gym every single day doing the same exact machine, I don’t get how she doesn’t cry in boredom or want to try something else.

The internet is a great place to find new workouts to do and try in an effort to not get bored at the gym. I am constantly printing out or writing down new workouts to try do.

Fitness websites to avoid burnout:
