Three weekends ago I ran 8 miles at 1:02:42..that was the longest distance I had ever run
Last weekend I ran 9 miles in

and that became my longest run to date
Today I ran 10 miles in

and that is my longest run to date!
The run was decent, around mile 7 I looked at my garmin and wondered why it seemed like I was going so slow, and then I reflected on how I am pretty sure I put every hill in my neighborhood in the my run, I started my run with a hill that ssllowwwllyy inclines, oof!
But regardless I am pleased I successfully ran 10 miles. You may be wondering why I have been running long distances on the weekend, and the answer is for fun. Actually not really for fun more to challenge myself. See I was never the biggest fan of running I was decent at it and it was something my dad and I did together. This summer I signed up for my first half marathon and then injured my IT Band so bad that I couldn’t run for a few months. That is when I realized how much I enjoyed running and how I genuinely missed it! Ever since I have been able to run again I have been wanting to find ways to challenge myself. So each weekend I have been trying longer distances!
After the turkey trot, I have been on a running streak and I really hope it doesn’t fade!
Now I am off to spend some quality time with my foam roller and I have convinced my brother to get 16 handles with me! I can finally redeem my RueLala gift card
Happy Saturday!
