Learning to Make a Flower Arrangement

I was not compensated for this post. I received a complimentary class with Alice’s Table in celebration of the premiere of The Bachelor!

I am not even going to lie I love everything about The Bachelor..the girls, the drama, 30+ woman fighting over one man and thinking they can really know someone in a few short weeks when he is dating all of them at the same time! Aaahh, this season certainly doesn’t look like it is going to let us down!

In honor of the premiere Alice’s Table hosted a little blogger get together at Back Bay Harry’s restaurant in Back Bay to teach us how to make the perfect flower arrangement, using red roses of course!

Alice’s Table is a one of a kind girls night in which you can gather your closest girlfriends to get together and learn how to put together a beautiful flower arrangement!

Michelle was our instructor for the evening and she did a wonderful job making the art of floral arranging seem very approachable and something anyone can do.

We were all given vases and some skinny clear tape to start. We then made a # sign with tape over the top of our vases, Michelle explained that this helps us to keep the flowers and greenery in place and makes it easier for anyone to arrange flowers the way that they want to.

We started by adding our greenery first (and in true blogger fashion my phone was out of photo storage so I didn’t get to take too many pictures!)

After we added the greenery we then added the fun green pom pom looking flowers (I think they are called Dianthus green globe).

After we added those we got to add in the roses!

For the final touches we added red gerber daisies and some red berries.

The class went by so quickly and I had a blast learning how to make a quick and easy flower arrangement. I always love fresh flowers and love having them in my home but never know how to make a beautiful arrangement out of them. I left the Alice’s Table class feeling like I had a better sense of how to tackle a flower arrangement and that I would be able to do so on my own anytime!

Currently Alice’s Table has events in Boston, Austin, San Francisco, Providence and Chicago.

If you can find a Alice’s Table location near you I highly recommend grabbing some girlfriends and going to one of their classes!
