Celebrating Mi Nina Tortilla

The trick to getting me to attend any party is to tell me there will be chips, guac and margaritas! πŸ˜‰ kidding…sort of…

A few days ago I got the opportunity to celebrate the success thus far of Mi Nina Tortilla and the launch of their new tortilla chip flavors; Jalapeno Agave and Churro!

The event took place at Mistral which is owned and operated by chef Jamie Mammano who is also the master mind behind Mi Nina Tortilla. In 2011 he created Tortilleria Mi Nina which is the first tortilla bakery in New England that produces tortillas authentically.

Guests were brought back to a private dinning area where they were treated to delicious margaritas. I went for the strawberry rhubarb option and it went down way too easily!

We enjoyed a bar full of tortilla chips, delicious fresh made guacamole, salsa and refried beans (aka my love language).

Guests could also enjoy a taco bar with beef, chicken or fish tacos. I went for the beef tacos x2 and could have easily kept going! The meat was cooked perfectly and the corn tortillas were probably the best corn tortillas I have had in New England.

The new Jalapeno Agave chips are insanely delicious! I think in my older age I am slowly starting to appreciate foods with a little kick to them and these chips definitely have some heat that is perfectly balanced with delicious house made guacamole.

To satisfy our sweet tooth guest were treated to churro chips with a chocolatey caramel sauce drizzled over them! I was never really much of a churro fan but these churro tortilla chips are delicious! They are lightly cinnoman-y and lightly salty at the same time!

These chips are hands down some of the best tortilla chips I have ever had! I appreciate the fact that they are non-gmo, gluten free and made with minimal ingredients.

You can find them at a store near you by using their store locator.

And probably the coolest feature on the website if you are local to the Boston area you can see where they will be demoing so that you can get a taste and see for yourself just how delicious they are before you purchase several bags! Check it out here!
