Weekend Recap: Rose’ Cruising

Hey there, I hope you had a great weekend! We are coming off a great weekend, one I wish we could go back to!

On Friday night Lindsay and I had a girls night and went out to sushi at Osaka a Japanese restaurant in our neighborhood. After dinner we hopped onto the T and headed into the city. Lindsay needed to grab something to finish off her outfit for Saturday’s plans so we did a little shopping. I tell ya the perk of living in a city is that stores are open until 10 or 11 which is really nice if you need something last minute or don’t have much time during the week to make it to a store. After some shopping we made it to our final destination of the evening which was to the movies. We saw “Me Before You”, it was just as sad as the book but we both thought the movie was perfectly cast and the actors had great chemistry.

Saturday morning kicked off with a nice 5 mile run before getting ready for our fun filled day! My mom and friend Linda came into town for a Rose’ cruise around the Boston Harbor! They arrived a little before lunch time and once we were all ready we headed into the city to grab some lunch at State Street Provisions and walked around a bit before cruise time!

When Cait first moved up to Boston the company she worked for 90+ Cellars threw a Rose’ cruise and every year Cait said you must come sometime! I am so glad we were finally able to attend and we had such a blast! The cruise set sail at 3 and we were on the boat until 6! The weather was perfect, it wasn’t too hot and there was a nice breeze. The tickets to the cruise include unlimited glasses of rose’ and food they had aboard but if rose’ isn’t for you they had other beverages available for purchase. We are all Rose’ loving people so we enjoyed it very much!

After the cruise we headed to Citizen’s Public House for dinner and capped off our night with a drink at Eastern Standard. We all crashed hard afterwards and we were all asleep by 10pm!

Sunday morning we all woke up a little sleepy and ready for a hearty breakfast. Jeff and I took my mom and Linda to brunch at Harry’s before saying our goodbyes. Once my mom and Linda left for the day we spent most of the day doing laundry and laying around and I found myself in bed by 8pm! The weekend definitely got the best of me!

We had such a great weekend and are really looking forward to enjoying our first summer in Boston!

How was your weekend?
