Hello! Happy Friday!! Boy am I glad to see the weekend! We have a visitor coming into town and I am so looking forward to some friend time! Today’s things I’m loving Friday post is a little different, I wanted to highlight some of the podcasts I have been listening to and loving lately! I typically listen to podcasts on my walks with Brady as a chance to educate myself and silence my mind that always seems to be running a million miles a minute!
Being Boss by Emily Thompson and Kathleen Shannon: They say that this podcast is for creative entrepreneurs but I truly think it could be for anyone. They share some awesome tips and tricks for starting a business, motivating women to chase after their dreams and take risks. I think even if you aren’t looking to start a business you would listen to their podcast and feel inspired and motivated.
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast: One of my favorite bloggers and her fiance teamed up for a very real, down to earth, no bs podcast on life, business, relationships and social media. To get some good business tips about blogging, have a good laugh or get some real life tips I would suggest this podcast.
The #AskGaryVee Show: I LOVE this podcast! I actually learned about Gary Vaynerchuck in an episode of “Being Boss” when they talked about his book “Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook.” In his podcast he answers questions about social media, marketing and entrepreneurship. I have learned soo much from his show about social media and marketing, I feel like he has ALL the hacks and all the insight! If you are interested in learning about or expanding your knowledge of social media and marketing I highly recommend his podcast. He keeps it very fun, entertaining and real.
Blissful Bites Podcast: Blogger Nicole Culver interviews some very successful female entrepreneurs. Some of them made their blogs a business, some of them started their own products, food, health/nutrition programs, regardless of what they did they are all inspiring women! The running theme I have found with every person Nicole interviews is to just go for it, literally every woman she asks “what’s your best advice for someone looking to start a business etc.” they ALL say to just go for it and to not wait until everything to be perfect because it never will be. If you are looking to learn about inspiring business women, maybe get inspired yourself I highly recommend this podcast.
Serial: This is already a well known podcast after season 1. But just in case people haven’t hopped on board with it I thought I would share it. After the world got wind of season 1 most people binge listened, myself included. When season 2 rolled out I actually listened to it week by week. Season 2 follows the story of Bowe Bergdhal and his 5 years in Taliban captivity and the soldiers who spent a majority of their time in Afghanistan searching for him. It was interesting to listen to the story unfold as it was happening because unlike season 1, season 2 was happening in real time. If you haven’t jumped on the Serial bandwagon I suggest you do!
