Weekend Recap

First off, thank you to everyone who commented on the new blog! I am so happy you all like it!

We had a really nice weekend over here! On Friday Downeast Cider hosted a free (to get in) event at their brewery where guests could get a taste of summer and try their new summer cider. I am a big fan of their original and cranberry cider so I had high hopes for their summer cider. The summer cider did not disappoint! I love all things lemon and ginger and the cider was full of both ingredients! It was definitely refreshing and something I am looking forward to enjoying this summer! It might be the perfect drink to drink whilst spectating the Boston Marathon next week!

Unfortunately it was pretty chilly so we lasted for about one drink and then relocated to Earl’s located at Assembly Row where we spent the rest of the evening hanging out and eating dinner.

Classpass is currently running a promotion of $20 for 2 weeks of classpass so I signed up for it earlier in the week and have been enjoying trying new to me studios! Saturday morning I had a 9:15 spin class set at The Handle Bar in Fenway. The class certainly did not disappoint and I got my butt kicked! I am always in awe of spin teachers and their ability to spin like made whilst talking and instructing the students!

After spin I raced back home to get ready for our visitors! My parents came to town for a concert and this was the first time my mom was seeing our place since we moved up here! We had a pretty early dinner reservation because of the concert so once they got up here we stayed in our neighborhood and walked around the area before heading into the city.

Our dinner plans brought us to Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen which is a restaurant known for its great wine selection. The wine menu is extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to drink. For the most part we all enjoyed our meals, mine and my moms dish involved lobster mashed potatoes which we both couldn’t get enough of!

After dinner we went our separate ways and Jeff and I met up with Cait and some of her friends at a bar called Wink and Nod for a few drinks. Jeff and I eventually called it a night and headed home and watched Wild. The movie was ok, I really enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone the movie I would say you could miss.

Sunday morning my parents came back and we all went for a walk around the reservoir near us before heading out to lunch with some friends. After lunch we said our goodbyes and Jeff and I came home and took naps before we headed out for a date night! Date night brought us to Trattoria il Panino which I will be back later in the week to recap!

How was your weekend!?
