Things I’m Loving Friday

A couple hours after this post is up we will be hitting the road to New Hampshire to visit our friend! We have some fun things planned so I am looking forward to getting this weekend started!

Below you will find some things I am loving lately, feel free to chime in below.

Sport Brah newsletter: I don’t know a damn thing about football, hockey, baseball or basketball when people start talking about xyz sports team I just stop listening and starting thinking about how I can get out of the conversation or if its an appropriate time to pour myself a glass of wine.. But then I decided maybe its time I learn a thing or two about the current sport season. Seeing that football season is in full swing and will be here for the next 14 weeks of my life.. Enter Sport Brah its a newsletter that keeps you up on the current events of football/baseball/basketball/hockey/whatever else I am missing without making your eyes glaze over. Its enough info to let you drop a thing or 2 of knowledge into a conversation and then go and get yourself that glass of wine.

Essie Gel Setter: Unless it is a special occasion I don’t spend money on a manicure. Manicures just don’t last on my nails so it doesn’t seem worth the money. But, I like the look of manicured nails so my new “me time” thing to do on Friday afternoons is paint my nails, knowing full well it will be almost all chipped off by Sunday! Enter the manicure life saving tool, Essie Gel Setter top coat. I have a double wedding weekend coming up and I knew I needed a manicure to last from Thursday to Sunday and I didn’t want to shell out the money for gel so I found the Essie gel setter at my local CVS and bought it, with fingers crossed it would work. Well the verdict is in! I have tried it and I love it! My manicure has lasted at least 5 days which is a huge win for me since it usually doesn’t last past a day.

Himalayan Crystal Salt tea lamp: I actually picked this up when I was in Nashville because it was on supa sale but you can basically find it anywhere these days! It also comes in lamp form (I saw the lamp at Bed, Bath & Beyond on sale for $19.99). I wouldn’t consider myself a hippie but I definitely have a decent amount of hippish (new word) beliefs/tendencies and I would consider this one of them. The candle holder/lamp are mined from the Himalayan Mountains and made with salt from there. When you light it it releases negative ions into the air, creating an effect similar to an ionizer, purifying the surrounding air. Basically I am a total believer and it’s my new obsession. I have burned through copious amounts of tea lights.

PaleOMG Chocolate Zucchini Bread: I made this and added chocolate chips to bring this weekend and OMG it is amazing! I obviously had to sample one to make sure I wasn’t going to kill anyone! They did not disappoint and they came out even more perfect because I used my favorite square baking pan for them!

Go Raw Zesty Pizza Flax Snacks: These bad guys were on super sale at Thrive so I added them to my cart and I am soo glad I did! They taste exactly like pizza but are so good for you and full of superfoods!
