The Dress

Hey there! As you read this post we are slowly recovering from the best night of our lives! After today we are off to Hawaii for 10 days!! I have written a couple wedding related posts to keep you all on your toes in anticipation for the real recap/pictures when we get back!

Long time readers know that my first dress shopping experience happened at Kleinfeld in New York City. During this shopping experience I tried on A TON of dresses and then was put into a dress that I fell in love with.

(the pic had to be a sneak attack because pictures weren’t allowed).

The dress was perfect, light weight, fit well and I felt great in it. The only problem was it was WAYYYYYY out of my price range. Of course they tried to guilt trip my mom and in turn made me feel bad for even trying it on. They told us they would drop the price, but it was still out of the budget and I left dress-less. I was a little bummed but determined to find something as equally as stunning.

For a few days I looked for that dress elsewhere, even looking on Ebay and considered buying it off someone.

The following weekend my mom, myself and Maja headed to White Dress by the Shore.
Where we had a much better experience. I tried to forget about the dress from the weekend and wanted to be open to trying anything that was pulled for me. I found some gorgeous dresses and after the 5th dress I tried on there I knew instantly that I found the “one.”

(dress the day I said yes)

I knew this was my dress and it is pretty much identical to the above dress for a lot less $$. I love my dress so much and the best part about it is that I can wear it again and in different styles because it has 2 pieced that come up and you can give it straps or one shoulder!

Have you gone wedding dress shopping?

How was your experience?
