I recently went through puberty at the age of 26 and have been breaking out like crazy. I have always battled with acne and I would always go to the dermatologist and get some sort of oral medication and a topical cream.
This time around I decided I needed try the natural route. I have been using the following things all together for over a month now and things are starting to look better. Of course there are still days that it is worse than others and that’s due to hormones and that monthly friend us ladies have to deal with.
Burdock cleanses the body of bile and eliminates toxins that can cause chronic skin conditions. It has a lengthy reputation as a folk remedy for boils, abscesses and acne.
I use all natural paraben free face wash and topical cream.
Jason face wash or arbonne face wash and spot treatment are my favorite.
What are parabens?
Parabens are used to prevent the growth of microbes in cosmetics products and can be absorbed through skin, blood and the digestive system. Parabens have been found in biopsies from breast tumors at concentrations similar to those found in consumer products. Parabens are found in a wide variety of products including shampoos, lotions, deodorants, scrubs and eye makeup Long story short, parabens are really bad for you and you should look for products that say paraben free on them.
I use desert essence tea tree oil cleansing pads after I wash my face. To get out any missed dirt or make up.
So far things are working out for me. My skin is not where I would like it to be it is getting there slowly but surely. I am happy to be working on this naturally and not putting foreign things into or onto my body.
Do you struggle with acne? What do you do for it? I would love to hear what you have tried/trying.
