Happy Wednesday!! I forgot for a minute that it’s already Wednesday, gotta love those long weekends!
Thank you all so very much for the birthday love yesterday! You all know how to make a girl feel special!
Over the weekend a group of about 10 of us headed to a new to us restaurant Kazu. Kazu is a sushi bar and Japanese restaurant, it is located in South Norwalk and was a short walk from where we planned on going for the evening.
We had heard good reviews of the restaurant so I had high expectations. I was a tad nervous it wouldn’t be up to par and 9 other people would be dissapointed.
Kazu won some bonus points when they took reservations, it seems as though more and more restaurants proclaim to not take reservations.
It won even more bonus points when they fit 10 of us comfortably at a circle table.
Obviously the true test would be our food and service.
Our waitress was wonderful and accommodating, split checks, no problem. They were more then willing to adjust things on the menu to your liking.
Drinks were ordered and served. Dinner and appetizers were order and served in a timely fashion.
Jeff and I shared the calamari to start. It was amazing and served with an orangey garlic dipping sauce that was amazing. I could have eaten the plate to myself.
Everyone’s food came out relatively quickly for how busy they were. Everyone was a tad apprehensive about how their sushi would really taste. My meal came out last and a few minutes behind everyone else. When the waitress brought it to me she said that the one roll I had ordered and asked for no spicy mayo they had made with the spicy mayo so she had them change it. I appreciated that the waitress noticed that rather then waiting for me to notice it once she brought it to me.
Jeff tried some of the Salmon Lovers roll and he was a huge fan!
Everyone was very happy with their meals and we all left with full bellies!
Ready to party the night away.
Jeff and I were so pleased with our meal that we went back on Monday for lunch. We both could not stop thinking about that Salmon Lovers roll and each wanted to order our own. We had the same waitress as Saturday night and she immediately remembered us when we ordered the Salmon lovers roll no spicy mayo.
If you are ever in the area I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Even if you aren’t a sushi lover the other options on the menu are delicious as well.
If you are a sushi lover what is your favorite roll to order?
What is your favorite restaurant?
