Scenes from the Weekend

I cannot go on with today’s post without addressing what happened on Friday. I am deeply saddened by the events that took place on Friday as I am sure most of you are. I don’t even have children and my heart just broke into pieces for all of those families affected by this. I hope you all took the time to cherish your family and be grateful for the people you have in your life. If there is one thing that we can take away from this horrible tragedy it is that we should never take a single day for granted.

So as you know Jeff and I celebrated our anniversary on Friday night, our real anniversary was yesterday. We spent yesterday grocery shopping, seeing Lincoln with my dad and brother and having dinner at my parents. Although it wasn’t anything “special” it was nice to be together. On Friday however we got dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in the city called China Grill. The place has a great atmosphere and the food is delicious! The food it served family style which was nice because we got to try a few things off the menu!
First up we ordered sushi and I can’t remember what they were but we both really liked them

then we had a crispy calamari salad and lobster mashed potatoes! Both were phenomenal

(sorry for the bad pictures, poor lighting in the restaurant)

After dinner we walked around saw the tree, grabbed a drink at a bar and then headed home!

I was dying to go to Rolf’s to see it all decorated for Christmas but you couldn’t even get in the door it was so packed! But here is a peak of it from the outside!
